H&ODBG have a meeting every month, on the tuesday closest to the 21st. Our junior meeting runs from 7pm until 7:45 pm, with the adult meeting commencing shortly afterwards. These meetings are for members only, but you can join on the night! The fee for each meeting is 50p. This allows us to buy equipment for the meetings and prizes for you!
What have we done in our meetings so far?
June - At this meeting, we covered riding and road safety. I think every one enjoyed theirselves and went away with some new knowledge! - hopefully!! And, it was a fairly good turnout! Elle got to drive a "car" and be the traffic lights which i think she probably quite enjoyed! Sue suggested we have a quiz at our next meeting so that is what we will do, and we will bring prizes!
July - We had a quiz on riding and road safety, first aid, and feeding. Abbie and Ella got joint 1st, winning a terrys chocolate orange and a bag of haribo, and Georgia came 2nd winning a box of maltesers! Runners up were Demi, Emma, and Charlotte who when asked what was wrong with your horses foot if it smelt, said it must have stood in dog muck!!! lol. Well done to everyone and thanks for coming!
September - We went through the dressage tests in time for the next competition on 30th September, explaining and demonstrating extensions, leg yield, shoulder in and turn on the forehand! Then we played musical bumbs, statue horses, sleeping horses and dressage corners just to finish on a good note!
